January 4, 2007 in FOTD, HFCS

Did you know:

“Between 1970, when HFCS was introduced into the marketplace, and 2000, the per capita consumption of HFCS in the United States increased from 0.292 kg/person to 33.4 kg/person.

?

Not only is that an increase of over 33kg (about 75 pounds) of HFCS per person, but it means on average we consume over 75 pounds of HFCS a year. Yikes.
